Biomass
While they are growing, trees take in carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air. When wood is burned, it releases back into the environment the same level of CO2 needed by the tree to grow, the same level of CO2 is released as would be emitted if the wood were to rot naturally. Heating with wood sourced pellets therefore means being part of the natural cycle.
This technology burns biomass wood pellet fuel to both centrally heat and produce hot water for domestic or commercial properties. The system is fully automated and does not rely on the owner continually feeding the burner.
Biomass systems can be stand alone or be supported by the existing fossil fuel heating systems. Biomass systems can be integrated with AES Solar Thermal installations to achieve maximum fuel efficiencies and benefits from the RHI..
AES fit Windhager fully automated boilers as a standard and are suppliers of the recommended Verdo wood fuel pellets. If a property is not currently heated by a mains gas boiler then, AES Biomass systems are eligible to receive two funding streams.
The Renewable Heat Premium Payment is a £950 grant towards the installation cost. The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a government backed scheme that guarantees the owner an index linked income from their Biomass installation for
20 years.
